Wind and Rain, HG Genuine Building Defensive Line Against Flood

In mid-night July 6th, extreme heavy rainstorm struck Huber province and serious waterlog occurred in large are of Wuhan. Accumulative 560.5mm of water fell during this round of heavy rainfall, exceeding historical records. HG Production Dept. II, located along Tang Xun Lake, was only 30meters away from the lakeside and the workshop stairs were only half a meter higher than the normal lake water level. During this severe rainy weather, there might be a heavy hazard of lake water backflow.

Flood Prevention Preparation (July 3rd) - Pioneers Leading Flood Prevention
 
In early July, with consideration of Wuhan flood situation and rainstorm forecast, HG Genuine set up a flood prevention team leading by company president and general manager. 7*24 patrol inspectors were on duty, especially watching on factory area and key flood inspection points.At 22:00 July 2nd, on receiving the notice of lake water level rising, flood prevention team arrived at site at top speed. After full inspection to whole factory area, it was found that water level was rising very quickly along the side near to production dept. II, with great risk of flooding. Emergent personnel and protection tools such as sand sacks were mobilized. 300 sacks of sand were piled in front of factory stairs by 1:30, forming a strong sand dam against the flood.
 
Through the precise command of company management and flood prevention personnel cooperation, company assets and staff safety were successfully protected against the rainstorm

Rainstorm Struck Again (July 6th) - All In the Same Boat
 
At 6 a.m. July 6th, an unprecedented rainstorm suddenly struck Wuhan and the water level of Tang Xun Lake rose above the historical recorded value. The lake river rose above the sand sacks and flew into the factory. At this crucial moment, the flood prevention team and relevant dept. responsible persons took emergency actions immediately. As the lake water had flown into the workshop, in order to prevent wire short circuit causing damage to workshop equipment and staff security, the flood prevention team shut down electricity supply at once and summoned dept. personnel to transfer materials and equipment, to lower down the equity loss as much as possible.
             
 
Re-construction after flooding (July 7th) - Unite as One to Conquer All Obstacles
 
On July 7th, the weather turned sunny and the water level of Tang Xun Lake fell down a little. Still Production Dept. II was still trapped by lake water and there were no reliable access to the workshop. In order not to affect work progress, staff of Production Dept. II temporarily worked in training office of Production Dept. I. After the lake water fell to a normal level, the Administration Dept. and Production Dept. organized cleaning and sterilization of canteen and workshop area to prevent epidemic.
